Lets leave the first question
to last, typical woman I can hear you say. This site is
primarily about bringing together all that makes Blackpool
a prime tourist resort throughout the year. We aim to draw
together all that a tourist would look for, i.e. What's
on; where is there to go; when is the best time to come;
where to take the kids; where can we eat and of course where
do we sleep. This site is also for you the reader and hopefully
the visitor to our lively and attractive resort, so that
you can input your views and reactions to Blackpool. We
hope that you will email us with your views of what makes
the highs and lows of holidaying in Blackpool: and if you
are in agreement we might include them in our newsletter
hopefully helping other people make the most of their
stay here on the Fylde Coast.
As to who we are!!!!!! Well I'm Kate I moved here
to Blackpool in March 2003. I moved here to stay with Jim.
About a month after
my husband died of a brain tumour, I met Jim online. We finally met 3 weeks
later and from then on it was a commute from Scotland to Blackpool or from
Blackpool to Scotland. I decided to move to Blackpool because Jim has lived here
for around 10 years and has a
steady job here. Although my sons are grown up
(24 and 21) I still have to pay regular visits to Scotland to keep up to date
with them and all their news, also to see my grandson aged 2½.
Jim has been fascinated for years
by the town of Blackpool and the visitors who flock here year by year. It was
initially his idea to produce a website which would help you to decide if
Blackpool was the place for you and your family to spend your precious holidays.
So we decided it was a project we could work on together and we hope you will not
be disappointed by it.
