Norman Davies: How God changed my life

Up until 1992 I was an atheist. I was a very enthusiastic sinner, drinking, smoking, lying, swearing, blaspheming and adultery were just a few of my bad habits. Then God in His wisdom started His plan to change me for His purpose.

On a daily visit to the newsagent I noticed a new woman at the check-out. She was lovely, and her smile lit up the place. I chatted her up and found out that her name was Celia, and she was a born-again Christian.

After a few weeks of getting to know her, she invited me for a meal at her house and I arrived with a long list of questions to which Mike, her husband, had convincing answers. They told me that the peace and joy which they both had in abundance was available to everyone, including a big sinner like me!

The next step was to visit their church and after the service I had to admit that the whole thing was mind-blowing.

After about two months of regular attendance I repented of my bad lifestyle and asked Jesus to come into my life. This He did, turning my life upside down. All the bad habits went, including my smoking addiction which had kept me enslaved for 60 years, and I found the peace and joy that is truly available to all.

Sometime later I had a medical check and my doctor was amazed at the incredible improvement in my general health. I said it was Jesus!
